Oh my, this one. Find a face that would fit Scotty has been a nightmare: I swear I tried everything and everyone, and I don't even remember how I ended up finding Annie and who were the other choices.
In "Parallel lives" (Star Trek #29/#30), the female Scotty is named Marjorie, which doesn't sound to me very Scottish (research didn't help me). I searched, therefore, a name that could be of Scottish origins and Moira popped up.
